CNN Discussion

Well earlier tonight I was reading an article on CNN. I replied to this one individual and to my not so real surprise when I clicked "Post" I got back a message saying "Your Comment Is Awaiting Moderation." Which means it'll never see the light of day.

Frankly I've extremely tired of seeing that message on the majority of posts I try to put up on CNN.

Their is no rhyme or reason as to why one post from the next will be terminated or another go up.

There is nothing offensive or profanity laced in the things I post. No attacks, No vulgarity or anything that would qualify it for any type of moderation much less deleting as they often do.

I've tried writing them asking about what the problem is or what they are seeing as a problem giving them the benefit of the doubt that there actually is some problem for them to have.

I have to say after being a global mod on a decent size site for several years, there ain't nothing to moderate or delete. I know what you can and cannot put up in a post and I know extremely well since I was in charge of exactly that and the regular moderators under me. I answered only to Admin. I never had a problem. Now some readers didn't like things sometimes and wanted them taken down but that was their problem not mine UNLESS there was a violation of acceptable posting policy.

So I'm left once again with having a post denied by CNN for no stated reason and for no reason at all in my experienced opinion.

Then I posted it again a while later and guess what? Same thing, once again. Into never, never land it went.

So I gave up and simply put up a short post to this individual that CNN was not allowing my reply to go up so if you or anyone is interested in seeing that reply then they should come here where I'm going to post it.

Guess what? I'll be damned if CNN didn't refuse to put that one up too.

So screw them. I'm going to post the OP comment and my reply knowing that probably few will actually see it but just to have the satisfaction of having it up somewhere.

It has to do with guns and I'll probably write something more about this in the next few days considering the whole issue is on again. As I stated below I am not really into it now even though I finally did make a response on CNN.

So I'm calling it a night and the next post up shortly will be that one.
